the gates opened at 1pm, and we got there a little bit after and the line was already wrapped around the entire firggin place! when we got in, we learned that diru wasn't playing until 4:35pm so we sat in the shade and chatted w/ other fans. sitting in the shade did not help at all with the heat. it was 104 degrees outside when we left at 6:30pm meaning it was even hotter during the afternoon.
anyways, at around 4:15pm, my friend and i went to our seats which were only 10 rows away from the stage. my other friend had a lawn ticket. T__T however, we were sitting at the very edge and had a limited pov so when the security was distracted by stupid ppl, we snuck up 3 or 4 row and moved towards the middle. >D setting up the stage. i was getting twitchy just watching those stage hands, whom, incidentally, were extremely HOT. there was kyo's red box (which he didn't use T__T). testing the mics and instruments. etc,etc,etc.
HOLY SHIT. when they came out, all we did was scream. kyo had on a long sleeved light blue shirt w/ a hawaiian sort of print on it. i swear, the guy's insane. long sleeves in 105 degree weather? ok... he was also wearing tightish black pants w/ a rip in the knee. well, at least a rip in his left knee. i couldn't really see shinya from behind the drum set and i couldn't remember what he wore cuz i was focused on kyo. kaoru was in a white t-shirt. i think this was a new thing (i'm a bad fan that doesn't keep track ^^;), but toshiya had light brown hair and a perm. O__o really cute ^__^ i don't remember much about die except that his hair was half red, half black.
the concert was FUCKING AMAZING!! kudos to kyo who, even though he's sick/unwell, sung/screamed his heart out. <33 uh...they played the final, ryoujoku no ame, clever sleazoid, saku, merciless cult, whatever track 4 of wtd is, and a song which sounded familiar but none of us could remember the name too. ^^; i'm a bad fan and don't remember song titles. ^^; also, kaoru had fun pouring water on himself and kyo molested himself and eventually took off the shirt. sorry. no blood, foam, and/or vomit.
before the live, we had bought the new single, ryoujoku no ame. that means we got wrist bands for the autograph thing that was supposed to happen after the show. however, just like the san antonio show, it became a handshake event. screw that we couldn't get anything signed. I GOT TO SHAKE HANDS W/ KAORU AND TOSHIYA!! ^//////////////////^ let me tell you. pictures don't do justice to these guys. i've always thought that kaoru was scary and that toshiya was weird, but meeting them face to face totally changed that. toshiya is cute and kaoru was hot! ^///^ i wish i did something more interesting at the handshake thing, but oh well.
